We are looking for a Vet to replace our talented exotic cert holder who is going off to pursue her dream of working with wildlife. Our ideal candidate would have a strong interest in exotic animals and may already be a certificate holder. We would also welcome candidates with less experience to apply as we can provide support in the form of our 3 other exotic cert holders and our very experienced head exotic nurse. We are happy to support the right candidate through an exotic certificate.

You will be doing a mix of routine dog and cat work and first opinion exotic work and referral exotic work once you feel capable of it. We have a very diverse caseload from small furries to reptiles to birds to the odd primate. Our clinical standards are high and we regularly invest in new equipment and training for staff to ensure these standards are maintained. We have access to on site CT, x-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, ventilator, separate species wards, full equipped theatres and 24 hour on site nurses.

We are proud to provide our own on site out of hours service and you will participate in a 2nd on call rota which Is currently 1 in 7. Ample time off and additional pay is given in return. We work closely as a team having weekly vet meetings to discuss and reflect on cases as well as daily ward rounds to ensure thorough handovers of cases. We are a busy hospital and you will be expected to work hard but a well thought out rota provides a good amount of time off and you will enjoy being part of a supportive and close knit team.
