The Veterinary Osteoarthritis Alliance (VOA) has announced that tickets are now on sale for VOACON 2027, its fifth annual congress dedicated to advancing the understanding and management of osteoarthritis (OA) in animals.

Taking place on 19–20 May 2027 at Holywell Park Conference Centre in Loughborough, Leicestershire, the two-day event will bring together veterinary professionals from across the UK to share knowledge, explore the latest developments in OA care and discover practical approaches to improving patient outcomes.

The theme for VOACON 2027 is 'Joint Forces: A team approach to tailored OA care', highlighting the importance of collaboration between veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses, animal rehabilitation specialists and other professionals involved in managing osteoarthritis.

Commenting on the theme for the upcoming congress, VOA Board member Stuart Carmichael BVMS, MVM, DSAO, FRCVS, said:

“Osteoarthritis is a lifelong condition and achieving the best outcomes for our patients requires a genuinely joined-up approach. VOACON provides a unique opportunity to bring together veterinary surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists, hydrotherapists,

behavioural professionals and others involved in OA care to share knowledge, learn from one another and take practical ideas back into everyday practice. With ‘Joint Forces’ as our theme for 2027, we want this year’s congress to demonstrate just how much can be achieved when the whole veterinary team works together.”

Building on the success of VOACON 2026, which welcomed more than 150 delegates, the VOA hopes to make its fifth annual congress its biggest yet, bringing together an even wider range of veterinary professionals with a shared interest in improving OA care.

With osteoarthritis requiring ongoing, individualised management, the congress aims to encourage knowledge-sharing across disciplines and support a joined-up approach to patient care. Delegates will have the opportunity to develop their understanding of OA, exchange experiences with fellow professionals and explore how different members of the veterinary team can contribute to effective long-term management.

Further information about the congress programme, including confirmed speakers, sessions and workshops, will be announced in the coming months.

Super early bird tickets are now available, offering veterinary professionals the opportunity to secure their place at a reduced rate. All members of the veterinary team with an interest in osteoarthritis are encouraged to attend.
