Vet practices across Scotland are invited to attend an online continuing professional development course organised by Scotland’s Rural College (SRUC).

The event will include a 30-minute talk on parasitology by Professor Neil Foster, Head of Department of Veterinary and Animal Science in SRUC’s North Faculty.

Caroline Argo, Dean of the North Faculty, will also talk about the new Vet Nursing training programmes – including Veterinary Care Assistant, the BSc Veterinary Nursing and Professional Development Award courses – which are being introduced at SRUC’s Aberdeen campus.

As part of their studies, students will be required to gain work experience in a real-life setting, and SRUC is looking for input from vet practices about the content and delivery methods of these courses and consideration for the inclusion of work placements in practice future plans.

The Parasitology CPD Event will be held via Microsoft Teams on Wednesday 16 September from 6-7pm.

Certificates of CPD attendance will be provided and a questionnaire will be sent out following the event with ideas for future events and courses.
