MENTAL HEALTH FOR MANAGERS COURSES
The Mind Matters Initiative and Veterinary Practice Management
Association (VPMA) have joined forces to design a course to
help those in a management role in a veterinary practice or other
veterinary workplace to support colleagues with mental health issues.

The course will cover:-
  • Basic mental health awareness
  • HR employment regulations and the legal position
  • The role of the line manager in supporting someone with poor mental health
  • Making reasonable adjustments
  • Planning “return to work”
  • Designing and putting in place wellbeing action plans

The course will be run:-

As a small group course, offering plenty of opportunities for discussion, questions and practical exercises. The courses will run from 9.30am ‘til 5.00pm on the following dates:
  • 12th May - Hazlewood Castle, North Yorkshire
  • 14th June - Holiday Inn Express, Swansea, South Wales
  • 23rd June - Holiday Inn, Edinburgh
  • 27th June - Lumley Castle, Chester le Street, Durham
  • 4th July - Hitchcock Cricket Pavilion, Kilmington, Devon
  • 6th July - De Rougemont Manor, Brentwood, Essex
  • 10th July - Bromsgrove Golf Club, Bromsgrove, Worcs
  • 12th July - Daresbury Park Hotel, Warrington, Cheshire
  • 14th July - Winchester (Venue TBC)
  • 19th July - Newmarket Racecourse, Newmarket, Suffolk

Cost:-

VPMA Members: £80 Non-VPMA Members: £120
