Veterinary skincare company, Laboratoire de Dermo-Cosmétique Animale (LDCA) has extended the use of Dermoscent Essential 6® spot-on and Essential Mousse™ to include small mammals. The new species line extension expands the popular Dermoscent portfolio of dog and cat products, based on 100% natural ingredients, which aid in the management of seborrhoeic or scaling disorders, infections, atopic dermatitis or allergic skin disease.
The efficacy of the product range has been proven in many open and placebo-controlled, multi-centre, peer-reviewed clinical studies, carried out by leading European dermatologists.
Dermoscent Essential 6 spot-on and Essential Mousse hydrate the skin and help to reinforce the skin barrier function. Both have been designed with owner application and patient acceptance in mind. The simple-to-open, titratable pipette (a few drops to a full pipette of 0.6ml) of Essential 6 spot-on preparation diffuses across the coat allowing for non-stressful application.
Essential Mousse is presented in a non-aerosol pump dispenser bottle and is non-rinse and soap-free. From itchy mice to scurfy rabbits, the nourishing formula cleanses, soothes and minimises trauma from scratching and biting. There is no need for shampooing. Delivery of essential fatty acids topically in both the spot-on and mousse helps avoid the need for tricky oral supplementation.
