ROYAL CANIN is going on the road with Marge Chandler, an expert nutritionist to all vet universities, to help students across the UK & Ireland make the right decision on what to feed complex medical cases.
The inaugural ROYAL CANIN nutritional roadshow will start at the University of Edinburgh on October 5th and travel to nine universities in total, concluding at the University of Surrey on 29th November. Marge Chandler, one of the UK’s few board-certified clinical nutritionists, will lead the event, discussing a number of case studies students are likely to experience in practice.
Lee Danks MRCVS, Veterinary Scientific Support Manager for ROYAL CANIN, said: “This roadshow hopes to bring nutrition to the fore, particularly for students who are conscious of the importance of dietary management in a variety of clinical cases. Where the delivery of nutritional training can present a challenge amongst a busy curriculum, these events allow us to support vet students across the UK and Ireland.
“We all know that food influences health, and what we decide to feed our patients can have a positive impact on their outcome. Students will have the opportunity to take part in an open conversation with one of the UK’s leading clinical nutritionists, ask questions and add to the debate.”
Consultant veterinary nutritionist, Marge, is a diplomat of the American College of Veterinary Nutrition and has a Masters of Science in Nutrition. Also as an American and European specialist in small animal internal medicine, she has a wealth of knowledge in the practical applications and impact of nutrition.
