  • Raw Feeding part II – Bacteriological Risks and Benefits in Companion Animals. Online, 7th July 2022, 7.30pm

Following the success of our previous veterinary CPD Webinar on Raw Feeding and the control of endoparasites in pets, HORIBA are delighted to follow up with Raw Feeding part II – Bacteriological Risks and Benefits in Companion Animals.
Conor O’Halloran BVSc MSc PhD MRCVS will give an online presentation, followed by an open Q&A session.
Feeding your pet is one of the most basic tasks in their day to day care, but it’s easy to underestimate what an impact it can have on their health and wellbeing. An owner could choose to feed a fully raw diet, pre-prepared meat, processed kibble or to use a combination approach – it’s entirely a matter of their personal choice, but it’s certainly a topic which prompts discussion amongst both veterinary staff and pet owners.
It’s not for us to decide what any owner must feed their pet, but we are in a unique position to help them make fully informed decisions. We know feeding more unprocessed products has become increasingly popular, and whilst ready-prepared pet foods are produced in a highly controlled environment, this does not mean that there might not be any bacterial risk when using them. Conor’s presentation will enable us to help with keeping pets and the people that care for them safe.
