When I first graduated the RCVS was just a scary place you didn't want to visit unless things went wrong. I've been there a few times though and never had anything other than a warm welcome. On a first-come-first-served basis vets and vet nurses are invited to a tour on 15th April. Details below.

Vets and veterinary nurses are invited to ‘Meet the RCVS’

The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) invites any veterinary surgeon or veterinary nurse interested in finding more out about how their professions are regulated to attend a ‘Meet the RCVS’ day on 15 April.

As part of a small group, guests will spend the day meeting the Officer team and senior staff, and visiting College departments along with RCVS President Peter Jinman. There will also be opportunity for individual discussions with Officers, staff and fellow visitors over lunch.

Cahir King, a veterinary surgeon from County Down, came to a previous ’Meet the RCVS’ day in January. “I just wanted to thank you and the team for taking us round the College,” he said. “It was a pleasure, and I found it both useful and inspiring. I may even restart my Certificate as a result!”

‘Meet the RCVS’ day will be held at Belgravia House, 62-64 Horseferry Road, London, on 15 April. It will start at 10.30am and will finish at approximately 3.30pm, with lunch provided. For further details, and to book a place, please contact Fiona Harcourt on f.harcourt@rcvs.org.uk or 020 7202 0773.
