I have just received my March 2010 RCVS News which tells me on page 7 that "....the majority of vets remain willing to deliver emergency cover 24/7.." and "the Advisory Committee has recommended that a communications project be undertaken to raise awareness amongst the general public and animal owners that although the veterinary profession continues to make this voluntary commitment, EU rules, geography and financial constraints impose some limitations."

Given that as a MRCVS you still have an obligation to deliver 24/7 emergency cover to anyone whether they have the wherewithal or desire to pay you or not, is this really something that Members of the College want to publicise?
