“We have become well-known for bringing together equestrian experts, policymakers, industry leaders, and enthusiasts, to debate the most pressing challenges and opportunities facing the equine sector.” said Tim Brigstocke, NEF Chair. “This year is no exception. For anyone who is keen to keep their finger on the pulse of what’s important for the future of the equine sector, this year’s programme won’t disappoint.”
While the final programme will be confirmed in early 2026, the content of #NEF26 will build on momentum from previous years by focusing on:
- Equine Health and Welfare: including governmental views as well as updates on disease threats and antimicrobial resistance.
- Pre-purchase Examinations: discussing what the new Seller’s Declaration means for vets and purchasers, with perspectives from key stakeholders across the profession.
- Technological Advancements: including case studies and discussion on the advantages and limitations of using artificial intelligence in equine welfare.
- The Sir Colin Spedding Award Memorial Lecture
- Presentation of the Sir Colin Spedding Award 2026
“The National Equine Forum remains committed to its mission of offering an unbiased non-commercial space for open discussion on policy, welfare, science and innovation,” said Tim Brigstocke, NEF Chair. “With the privilege of HRH The Princess Royal as our President and guided by our dedicated organising committee, NEF26 promises to deliver another day of thought-provoking sessions and enjoyable networking opportunities.”
