As part of the event, UK Pet Food will host a panel discussion, “Feeding Pets Wisely: Tackling Nutrition Misinformation” on Friday 21 November (11:00 – 11:50 am, Exhibitor Showcase Theatre 3).
The session brings together leading veterinary nutrition experts to explore how professionals can navigate the growing wave of pet nutrition misinformation online and in practice.
Panel speakers include:
- Dr Marge Chandler, Independent Consultant in Small Animal Nutrition and Internal Medicine
- Dr Christine Huggett, Pet Nutritionist and Consultant, Honorary Professor at the University of Nottingham
- Georgia Woods-Lee, RVN, VTS (Nutrition), Clinical Lead for Weight Management Clinic, University of Liverpool
Visitors to Stand D25 will find a range of free, evidence-based educational materials from UK Pet Food, including factsheets, posters, and guides that can be shared directly with clients to tackle common myths and support healthy feeding practices in the clinic.
The team will also run a short survey for veterinary professionals, inviting them to share their concerns and questions about pet food and feeding advice. All participants will be entered into a prize draw to win a £100 gift card for their choice of high-street retailer.
The initiative aims to strengthen dialogue between the pet food industry and the veterinary community, ensuring future educational resources and campaigns address the real challenges faced in practice.
Michael Bellingham, Chief Executive at UK Pet Food, said:
“Accessing reliable pet nutrition information is one of the biggest challenges facing pet owners and veterinary professionals today. Our goal is to empower the vet community with science-based, practical tools to advise pet owners confidently and consistently. The London Vet Show is a fantastic opportunity to come together, share insights and promote informed, balanced, and guilt-free feeding.”
