A popular veterinary practice in the Isle of Dogs has doubled in size and is providing new services following a major refurbishment.

Linnaeus-owned Forest Veterinary Centre, which also has practices in Epping, Woodford Bridge and Harlow, has merged with an adjacent unit and now has two consultation rooms, separate dog and cat kennels and a prep area.

Patients will also now benefit from an individual theatre and an x-ray and dental room equipped with full Computed Radiography (CR) x-ray, a digital imaging technique, and dental x-ray capabilities.

Rachel Lund, clinical nurse manager at Forest Veterinary Centre, said: “This is an exciting time for Forest Veterinary Centre and the complete refurbishment is a major boost for patients, clients and our team alike. It enables us to offer a wider range of services and treatments, tailored to the needs of pets and their owners.

“We’re particularly looking forward to welcoming, and treating, new patie nts who can now undergo x-ray services and dental care with x-ray capabilities.”

Prior to the refurbishment, the Isle of Dogs practice operated out of one clinical room which was used for multiple purposes including as a consulting room, prep room and an operating theatre, while there was a small back area housing a few kennels.

Rachel added: “We’ve always prided ourselves on providing high-quality, accessible veterinary services and this care is set to improve even further with the new layout.”

Forest Veterinary Centre aims to put pets’ wellbeing first across Essex and the surrounding areas, including East London, with its hospital in Epping equipped with state-of-the-art facilities.
