Leading veterinary nutraceuticals manufacturer, VetPlus, has appointed Leon Tan as the new Regional Director for the Asia Pacific region, based in its Singapore office.

Leon will be responsible for supporting and growing VetPlus sales across the region where it already has a strong presence in Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, and Korea.

With more than two decades of experience in commercial leadership, including roles at Procter & Gamble and Mars Pet Nutrition, Leon will also manage the team in its Singapore office.

The appointment comes as VetPlus’ global growth strategy continues to generate expansions in its international distribution network, and follows the appointment of the first VetPlus Business Unit Manager in Africa in 2023.

David Haythornthwaite, Founder and Chairman of VetPlus, said: “The international market for high-quality veterinary nutraceuticals is growing rapidly and our growth in the Asia Pacific market in particular is testament to that global demand. With Leon at the helm, we have ambitious plans to accelerate that growth and expect to have exclusive partners in over 50 countries by the end of the year.”

Leon Tan said: “I’m really excited by the opportunity to lead VetPlus in the Asia Pacific region. Our position as a global market leader, consistently delivering the best in class in our sector, is a tribute to the remarkable efforts of our talented team.

“The strong relationships we hold with our distributors are evidence of our shared dedication to quality and excellence in the industry, and I look forward to working closely with the team as we amplify VetPlus' presence and influence throughout the region.”
