ID:	54166 Due to the uncertainty about ongoing COVID restrictions, the Veterinary Marketing Association (VMA) has announced an online Awards winners ‘big reveal’, which will take place from June 16-18th 2021. The web-based event will replace the rescheduled 2020 Awards ceremony in London that was planned for 18th June 2021.
Awards Chair Claire Edmunds says the awards will be announced and celebrated via the VMA website in a roll-out as follows:
  • 16th June 2021 - all entries will be available to view virtually on the VMA website so we can remind ourselves of all the great work submitted.
  • 17th June 2021 - the finalists for all categories will be revealed on the site, including footage from our sponsors.
  • 18th June 2021 - all winners will be announced on the site, along with recorded judging day commentary from some of the face-to-face judges.
The Awards announced and celebrated this June will relate to work from 2019 in 16 categories spanning all aspects of veterinary marketing. We’ll also announce the winners from four newly created categories which recognise and reward the marketing excellence and agility demonstrated during the pandemic.
Awards chair Claire Edmunds says: “We are really excited to announce our big reveal of the 2019 and 2020 winners. Whilst we are disappointed that we are unable to hold our postponed Awards in person and the opportunity to catch up with friends and colleagues, the online activity and digital and social media coverage will allow us to showcase our finalists and winners and celebrate their marketing success.
“Furthermore, we are delighted to announce that we will be holding the VMA Annual Awards ceremony in 2022, on Friday 18th March. This will celebrate work from 2020 and 2021. The prestigious Royal London Lancaster hotel is confirmed, as is our fantastically funny host Russel Kane, so get the date in your diaries now as it promises to be one heck of an event.
“We look forward to sharing your marketing successes online this year and in person again next year,” concludes Claire.
