ID:	54009 IVC Evidensia is delighted to announce that David Martin has been appointed to the role as
Group Animal Welfare Advisor.

This key role will ensure that IVC Evidensia continues to evolve as a global leader in all areas of Animal Wellbeing.
David currently works as a Clinical Director at Brownlow Veterinary group in Shropshire, UK, where for some years he has provided forensic veterinary services. He is well known in the UK welfare community, where his knowledge and connections have seen him make a positive and tangible difference over some three decades. He will continue in this clinical role in addition to his contribution to IVC Evidensia across the UK and Europe.
Alistair Cliff, Chair of Group Veterinary Medical Board at IVC Evidensia says:
“I am really pleased to welcome Dave into his new role. Our company aims to redefine Animal Wellbeing and strong leadership around critical welfare issues will launch that ambition forward.
It is our obligation as a large company to play our part in improving the lives all pets, horses and farm animals and Dave’s proven track record of delivering results within our group and in the welfare sector will ensure we meet and exceed that commitment.”
David Martin says:
“I have always been impressed by the unique focus IVC Evidensia puts on animal welfare. Joining the team in this role puts me in a great position to drive that focus, improving our impact on the lives of animals within our group, but also using our scale to influence wholesale improvements to the lives of animals across the globe.”
An initial priority will be the development of a European network of welfare leaders within our clinics. This will allow us to draw on the expertise within our organisation, ensuring our approach is effective and relevant across all cultures. David will assume leadership of key initiatives such as our approach to Non-Accidental Injury and the veterinary sector leading IVC Evidensia Care Fund, which is now available to support our teams, patients and their owners.
IVC Evidensia is leading the veterinary sector to redefine Animal Wellbeing. This novel approach recognises that our patients are healthiest and happiest when care is provided in a holistic fashion across every aspect of their lives, both in our clinics and at home. We are building our clinical services around the ‘five-domains’ model where Health and Veterinary Care, Nutrition, the Environment, Welfare and Behaviour are combined.
