The International School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ISVPS), which accredits veterinary training courses and awards qualifications for veterinary practitioners and veterinary nurses globally, has appointed Miss Georgia Stone as its new Academic and Partnership Manager.

In her new role, Miss Stone will be responsible for overseeing the academic standards of ISVPS’ assessments globally and reviewing its academic policies and procedures. She will also develop ISVPS’ partnerships with its accredited training providers, which include veterinary training specialist Improve International, and with Harper Adams University, which provides the higher education body quality assurance for ISVPS in the UK,

Georgia Stone BCI BVMedSci (Hons) joined ISVPS, then called the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies, in 2017 as its UK Examination Coordinator. She has a first degree in Creative Industries and a second in Veterinary Medical Sciences. She is currently undertaking a Postgraduate Advanced Certificate in Educational Studies: Educational Assessment from the University of Cambridge, in association with Cambridge Assessment.

ISVPS was established in 2003 to provide challenging but achievable, balanced qualifications for veterinary practitioners working in full-time practice. It has so far awarded more than 5,000 veterinarians and veterinary nurses globally a postgraduate qualification.

Commenting on her new role, Georgia Stone said: “One of my first priorities will be to build on our internal processes and procedures to ensure that ISVPS is well-positioned to manage the growing demand for our postgraduate qualifications worldwide and to support our rapidly increasing candidate base. With more and more veterinary professionals seeking a postgraduate qualification in order to enhance career progression opportunities and their job satisfaction, it’s an exciting time for ISVPS and I’m really looking forward to my new role.”
