With the lambing season in full swing, Ceva has introduced a free bottle pump with every three bottles of their Rehydion oral rehydration therapy. The bottle pump allows Rehydion to be given directly into an animal's mouth, therefore minimising any interruption of milk feeding.

Replacing fluid and electrolytes is key to supporting a scouring animal, says the company.

Ceva claim Rehydion is the only oral rehydration therapy gel that contains sufficient electrolytes to correct acidosis and allows continued feeding of milk when given at recommended levels.

Rehydion is for both lambs and calves and not only does it allow milk to clot, it does not contain excessive glucose, which can make scour worse by causing osmotic diarrhoea.
