Intravenous infusion of a fat (lipid) emulsion is sometimes used in the treatment of cats and dogs that are at serious risk due to poisoning or drug toxicity, usually when standard treatments are not effective. This module will give you some background and understanding about the use of lipid infusion in veterinary practice.
