Royal Canin have been awarded an International Cat Care Award for its new product Pill Assist Cat.

Following the launch of the canine version of the product released earlier this year, Royal Canin’s Pill Assist Cat is an easy to swallow pill pocket that has been designed to help cat owners administer tablets to their cats and will be launched in 2020.

The innovative product has a successful pill intake in 91% of cases[1] with a simple 3-step process which includes inserting the pill, moulding the pouch around the tablet, followed by feeding it to the cat.

Commenting on the award, Erin Carr, Veterinary Marketing Executive at Royal Canin, said: “It’s an honour to be recognised by such an important industry body. “Pill Assist Cat is set to launch next year. As with our Pill Assist Dog products, the aim is to make a real difference to pet’s health and wellbeing by turning pill time into a positive experience for both the pet and the owner.”

Royal Canin recently released Pill Assist for dogs which is available in two sizes to suit small dogs and medium or large dogs.
