Ten years ago Louise O Dwyer became a volunteer for the Bella Moss foundation . Not only was she a great veterinary nurse but also a gifted author.

Louise has a unique talent of taking complex scientific information and making it accessible for the layperson. She has helped thousands of veterinary nurses and veterinary practices battle antimicrobial resistance, and hundreds of pet owners become more aware of what they can do to prevent the spread of disease between humans and animals.

Not only was Louisa gifted veterinarian and author but a person she had a big heart and so much generosity, she was passionate about helping animals . Often I was overwhelmed with enquires from pet owners needing advice about managing infections in the home. Louise took all of the emails and answered them personally, We spent hours on the phone brainstorming about ways in which we could help educate the public as well as the vet and profession. Together with our other clinical advisors Louise was instrumental in producing our infection-control guidelines the practices.

Louise was a unique person and I considered her a personal friend. The Bella Moss foundation is going to be lost without her and I will miss her greatly.

Louise will be with the angels there is no doubt about that but she had so much more work to do it’s a terrible loss for so many people and our hearts go out to her friends and family colleagues we will never forget you and you live on in our hearts and souls forever
