The Veterinary Management Group (VMG), which represents veterinary professionals working in leadership and management roles, has strengthened its operations team in order to enhance the service and support it provides to its members.
Ms Cath Grimsey, formerly a director of the association, has been appointed to the role of Operations Manager; and Dr Hannah Perrin joins the VMG head office as media and events lead.

Hannah Perrin (pictured above) initially qualified as a pharmacologist. She became Practice Manager of a busy four-site practice in Kent; sparking her interest in professional development and subsequent PhD in veterinary education. She has continued to work with a variety of veterinary practices and now balances practical support with veterinary management research.
The VMG provides training, promotes best practice and lobbies on a range of practice management issues. It also offers a forum in which managers and others in a lead role within practice can learn, collaborate and network with colleagues across the UK.
Commenting on the additions to its team, VMG President Mrs Gillian Page said: “The quality of its leadership is what determines the success of a veterinary business in today’s fast-moving environment. We support the professional and personal development of those working in leadership roles to help them to manage their teams effectively and to optimise the performance of their business.
“Our membership is increasing and we have ambitious plans to develop the range of CPD and other services that we provide. As we continue to grow, a strong operational team to oversee the day to day running of the association is essential and we are delighted that Cath, who knows the VMG inside out, is moving to this new role; and that Hannah is bringing her experience to us. We wish them both great success in their new roles.”
