National Pet Month (April 1 – May 1 2017) is here again and we’re proud to be a trustee and joint coordinator for this very special event with our friends at the PFMA (Pet Food Manufacturers Association). As part of our role as trustee, it is our responsibility to help the charity to:
- Promote responsible pet ownership
- Make people aware of the mutual benefits of living with pets
- Increase public awareness of the role of pet care specialists
- Raise awareness of the value of working and assistance companion animals
National Pet Month, now in its 28th year, is a nationwide celebration of pets. Pets play such a valuable role in our lives and National Pet Month’s main theme this year is ‘There’s a pet out there for you’, highlighting that there is a pet out there for everyone, whatever walk of life you’re from, but it’s important to choose the best fit for your lifestyle.
Here at NOAH we are passionate about the welfare of all animals, large or small and National Pet Month offers a fantastic opportunity to join together to celebrate our love of pets and promote the value of companion animals to society and the role our medicines play in keeping them healthy. It offers a reminder of the importance of taking good care of our pets as well as helping people to raise funds for the UK’s incredible pet charities who help so many animals in need.
