Delegates at the London Vet Show (LVS) will get the chance to win a trip of a lifetime to Malawi in south-east Africa with the Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS).

The show is being held on November 17 and 18 at ExCeL London, where delegates can win the £12,000 trip for two by collecting a stamp in their LVS passport from each of the participating sponsors’ stands in the exhibition.

The working holiday begins in the city of Blantyre where WVS has been working for the past two years on a city wide dog rabies vaccination and sterilisation programme. In the first week, the winner will be part of the WVS team working with local vets to continue the organisation’s work. They will also help with the ongoing community education campaign, whilst staying in the four-star Casa Mia Lodge.

The winner will then head north to experience a true African adventure. The first stop will be to Liwonde National Park, home to elephants, hippos, crocodiles and antelope. Based at the stunning Mvuu Camp, the winner can choose their daily activities from game drives, boat trips and walking safaris. This will be followed by a luxurious dinner in the open boma on the bank of the palm-lined Shire river.

For a true African experience, the trip will be topped off by a night in a traditional rural Malawian village which will include traditional dancing, local food and a night around the camp fire to get to know the locals.

For the final two nights the winner will drive to Lake Malawi, the ninth largest lake in the world. After checking into the lodge they will be taken on an afternoon boat cruise, ending with watching the sun set in the distance. On the last day they can choose from a game drive, a boat safari or simply relax on the golden beaches of the lake.
