Northwest Surgeons has announced two free webinars for vets on the subject of oncology.

At 8pm on Thursday June 30th, Iain Grant will host the first free webinar with a topic titled, ‘The What, Where, How approach to the cancer patient’.

The Cheshire-based veterinary referral specialists opened its new oncology service last month with the appointment of two senior RCVS registered oncology specialists.

Iain and Mary Marrington will be running the oncology department, and as part of on-going activity, will each be hosting a webinar on oncology.

Iain is a Diplomate of The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons recognised specialist in Medical Oncology.

“Both Mary and I hope that these webinars will greatly benefit vets and their patients who are dealing with cancer,” said Iain.

“The first webinar is going to cover the importance of evaluating the patient, the diagnosis of tumour type and extent, and determining a thorough approach to treatment.

“Managing and treating cancer in pets can be so difficult, but this webinar should help vets gain essential skills for the management of any tumour.

“I am looking forward to sharing my years of experience and expertise with vets who are willing to learn and expand their knowledge on this subject.”
